He said it had been agreed within the team and the "conductor" was to be whoever scored; surprise surprise it was him. Brown deserved the mickey-take anyway..and more.
Posted By: diggers....I'll await Man City's next goal with eager anticipation then .....presume they'll all try to shake hands and refuse (a la Prof. Arsene Wenger)?!!
The 'Star of the week' award simply MUST go to the legend that is fast becoming ....Sir. Bobby of the planet Zamora!!! Awesome stuff!
Message for Maestro: If you went to THE match ....(I suppose it was like a cup final for you,eh?!!!) ....what were they chanting to the great man after his exploits??!
Of course I was there!! Back from Bael Thursday night, unlike some who got stuck there as the weather turned. The game against Manure was incredible; forget their defender problems - they were outplayed in every department. That includes tactically, Hodgson (and Murphy) quickly spotted Fergie's game plan and expoited it perfectly. As for BZ (or as Diddy David Hamilton called him "Bobby For England Zamora") what can you say? He's been outstanding recently
Never mind Star of the Week .........this guy deserves 'Star of the Season'!!!!!!
Carlos Cuellar - for his clearance during the Villa v Wet Spam match - I was listening to it on the radio and nearly crashed the car laughing so much!!! How's your nose Mr.Savage??!
The Accrington centre-back who got himself two yellow cards for some agricultural play in the first half. It might have been close if they'd had 11 men.
ESPN's Champion (how innappropriate is that name!?) Having failed to drum up interest from the FA (and just about anyone else) over Gerrard's alleged gesture last week, undeterred, he starts his campaign to get him in trouble again by going on (and on and on..) about the altercation with Brown and retrospective FA action. Any physical action perpetrated on Brown should be regarded as much-warranted retribution, nothing more. Still, you can't keep a bad man down and Champion will maintain his energy and imagination in his crusade.
Trouble is its difficult to find any commentator or pundit you can appreciate. Joe Royle isn't bad; he seemed to ignore or refute many of Champions idiotic mutterings. Generally though, they all seem to believe that an inane comment is better than silence and simply repeat themselves whatever the question. After the Ch***** game the other night Souness was asked about 3 or 4 (pretty daft) questions. Each time, he pointed over his shoulder and said "I didn't think they could play like that". Boring or what.
